I notice that the David Nykl Yahoo group was started in 2004. It looks a bit quiet at the moment. I joined and hope to hear from the mod, but if not, we start a new one. I think we need a place to chat so we don't fill up your blog. 'Cause we're holding back. ;-)

To answer your first question, Yahoo Groups are something like chats or message boards that allow people to meet new friends through their hobbies and such. :)

Re: the Yahoo groups - I tend to stay off mailing lists for a variety of reasons, but one with such subjectmatter is bound to be a cut above the general science fiction ones. ;)

Yahoo Groups predate blogging. They are a place where people can get together and discuss topics of interest to them. Topics range from, say, finding babysitters to ice skating to hockey to, apparently, David Nykl.

I've got no real feelings either way about London, but if anything opens up in the midwest US I'd have to say hells yes.
And Yahoo groups are basically mailing lists, my sorority uses them to keep in touch so we know what's going on, but other people use them to share experiences and talk about random things.
