Ladies and Gentlemen...

Hola! Nazdar! Buenos Dias, and Aloha Stargate fans. How ya doing?
.
It's going on late and I've left the actual writing of the blog for last. So now I have to think of something to say.
.
It's been a banner year for Zelenkistas the world over. No fewer than FOUR, count 'em FOUR convention appearances in the last few months - from Auckland, New Zealand to Springfield, Massachusetts - it's been a whirlwind of fine sci-fi FAN-INSANITY the likes of which will have many generations to come still speaking of it in hushed tones.
.
I got teddy bears, Tim Tams and Vegemite (of course), embroidery, books, and CD's, letters, artwork, t-shirts, pints of Toohey's and Sam Adams, buttons, pins, postcards, apparel (don't ask), Maori carvings, beads, and more...
.
Thank you all!
.
I may still go somewhere in February, depending on availability and opportunity - before filming of season, gulp, FOUR begins in February.
.
It's good to be picked up for another year, and I hope to be a part of it. Let's see how it goes!!!

Hi David!
Greetings from Brno, Czech Republic! :)
I stumbled upon your blog accidentally and you have no idea how happy it made me! :)
It's amazing to hear Zelenka will be in season 4 as well (I can't believe how time goes by so quickly) and I'm looking forward to your scenes, because they always make me laugh. My friends always ask me to translate what Zelenka said. :)
I'll be looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care!

Veselé Vánoce a Šťastný nový rok!
Dana

There's a secret to blogging, really - just assume that everyone else is as fascinated by your life as you are. This may sound a bit egotistical. Come to think of it, it is. But it is the principle on which blogging is based.

Wallow in it.

Merry Christmas, Mele Kelikemaka, Vesele Vanoce, Feliz Navidad, and Joyuex Noel!

Hi David -- glad to see you've updated a bit, and I'm glad you had such a good time at the cons. I couldn't make it to Springfield with Spubba and the crew, but I grew up near there.

Good luck and happy holidays!

Kia ora, David! The fantardery continues, heh. Thanks once again for coming down to see us in Auckland in October, it was a truly wonderful weekend, and we were so tickled you liked the tshirts. It truly was worth the speeding fine! And, if you're looking for somewhere to visit, I hear the weather here in February is gorgeous.

Look forward to hearing from you again soon, and have a happy Christmas!

For the umpteenth time, it was so wonderful to see you at UFC, and I hope you hit up more northeast conventions in the future! *cough*i-con*cough*

Good luck with season 4, and hopefully many more, if the Zelenkistas have our way.

Hey David,

Yep I'm a little late to the party. That's considered cool in some circles. Really, really, really, really hope to see you in February.

Happy holidays and good luck with series 4.

Oh, can I get excited about February? About a certain con, that I don't want to name in case it jinxes it? Are you coming to the UK? Pleeease do think about it! *whimpers*

Dr Z said...

I AM thinking about the UK in February actually. It all depends on how the people that make these things happen will make this thing happen.
.
Fear not, Valiant Britannia, I'll be there soon enough...

Wow, this is so cool.

Thanks so much for indulging your fans by reaching out to them. This is great! I can honestly say that I have never had so much fun with a TV character and your blog just makes it so much better.

Maybe someday you can do a con in the Midwest!

By the way, I am assuming that Hugo is the name of your boat? Is it a big boat or a little boat?

Be still my beating heart. Actually, with you and t'other David too, it might actually be still. I may, in fact, be gasping like an unattractive fish and dying from the squee :)

Come on over, the water's lovely. Or not - in February. But you know what I mean. Oh god. I'm incoherent with joy.

You've listed all the things you've been given by fans - obviously so we don't duplicate :) Any requests? A wish list! Go on - it is Christmas (it'll just be a little fashionably late this year)

(By the way, this news is the best Christmas present - you know that right?) *twirls*

Hey David,

I hope that that February Somewhere is London's Pegasus Two. I was a Steward when you came to your last WOLF con in London and you guys all made it a really brilliant weekend.

It'd be really cool to catch you again! McKay and Zelenka on the same stage... that has to be worth the ticket, as well...

Have a great Yule! Hope to see you in the new year... *nudge nudge*

Hi David!! A friend told me about your blog and I'm so glad she did!

I don't know if you remember this or not but at UFC this year, you were asked to record a video message to a woman named Desiree who couldn't be at the con. That's me. :) Thank you so much for taking the time to record that message! It meant the world to me!! (Considering I'd planned on coming up to UFC but because of a severe back injury, I can't travel that far. I'm in South Carolina.)

Anyway, I was wondering if there's any chance you could come to DragonCon down in Atlanta the first weekend in September, 2007. I'm on the Stargate track staff and we would LOVE to have you come to the con!! :) This year, 2006, was a ROUSING success...just ask Torri and Rachel and Kavan.

Anyway, thank you again for recording the video message. I watch it daily. :) And we'd LOVE to see you at DragonCon! :)

Hi, David! :)

It's so good to see you join the blogging world. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to come and share with us. I love the way the actors on the two Stargates have made it a point to connect with their fans.

Like Desi, I do hope that you come and join us in D*Con. :D We'd love it if you were there. We wanted you in 2006...so you gotta come in 2007!! It's a fantastic convention. 2006 was my first, and out of some 20 or so cons I've been to over the years, it is among my top favorites.

I'd love to see you at a con in Chicago -- something different than what you've already done, so that we folk who couldn't make the others can have a chance to meet ya!

I'm from Slovakia. We really like you here. You're my favourite actor in Atlantis because of your great czech speeches like for example zaplať panbúh or doprdele to je nahovno in grace under pressure.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in season 4.
