Paris!

Hey Bonjour y'all. I thought that par ce que we were criticized for not having enough francais in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games I thought I would endeavor to set things right and go pratique my francais in Paris. I know. I know. It's tough. It's a sacrifice, but I'll do it in the name of bilingualism.
.
Turns out I'll be going to the Sci Fi Show in Paris this weekend as a last minute guest addition. Crazy, what? It's just part and parcel of this high flying celebrity lifestyle. I'm looking forward to it very much, if only to get out of this five-ring circus called Vancouver 2010 for the weekend.
.
The commercial is on TV! Compare it to the original which aired back in the eighties. Fun fun.
.
Hope you guys are doing well, look forward to seeing you in France!

You look so cute in a beret! Is that why the folks in Paris snapped you up?

I hope you have a nice, calm, snow-free French weekend. I've been buried under an avalanche for the last week.

Oh my gosh, you are so cute in that commercial! I loved it! Hey, I also saw your promo for the Paris convention (http://www.stargate-fusion.com/actualites/1024/david-nykl-nouvel-invite-de-la-sci-fi-convention.html). It was awesome getting to hear you speak French. I hope you have a fun and safe trip.

It's a cute ad. Still won't sign with them (sorry, I had a *really* bad experience with their customer support, and their cell tower coverage is abysmal where I live), but at least I won't have to yell "NO" at the TV everytime one of their ads comes on because they won't be asking "Can you hear me now?"!

Have fun in France, and enjoy the non-olympicness of the place. I've lived in tourist towns in the summer and that was bad enough - I imagine Vancouver at the moment must be ... interesting.

bilingualism? I thought for you it was more like tri? or even quad? Don't sell yourself short, we'll pick up on it here and call you out. :-)

Have fun in France!!

David, one word: TWITTER! :-p
That would be nice to have you on Twitter. I'd be following you of course. ^^

And wow, you in Paris! I'm from Belgium but I can't be there in Paris, booh. Please greet us with pretty pics like you always do? :-)

...and by the way, don't let anyone give you any crap about the opening ceremonies. They were lovley! You Vancouverites really know how to put on a show.

That is a good commercial - and like a few others I remember the original. I guess the ad people are in an "oldies but goodies" mode now.

I don't blame you for wanting to get out of Vancouver for a few days. As much as I enjoy watching the Olympics on TV I would not want to have to deal with all people and the traffic...

Thanks for the crazy show ! ;) I can't wait for tomorrow ! :)

Great ad, although the jingle made me think of big red chewing gum! ;)

Enjoy Paris, yes, away from the madness that is the Olympics :)

Bilingualism?! Isn't it a little modest?
It has to be unique now in Vancouver - to hear all the world languages. What about your vernacular? Your native heath? Proud of Sáblíková? :-) She won the second gold medal just now (third Olympic medal in sum)... Isn´t it marvelous?!
And one more malicious question: if Canada will meet Czech in the hockey final...
for who will you root? :-D Docela dilema, že?

The commercial is just sweet! Enchanting. More of such a cute carvers!

Got the chance to watch 'Encounter With Danger'. You and Gary Chalk were great! As much fun as we have seeing you do lovable Zelenka, you really do the badass character quite well!

Happy St. David's Day! Do you have any Welsh blood? I do.

And congrats on the hockey gold.
