...and the future is clean...

.
...And full of round buildings.
.
Science World, aka the old BC Pavillion, is getting a full scrub for the upcoming games. Now there's a window washer's version of rubik's cube.
.

And check out the once dingy planeterium. -- All Jetson'sy and - who knew? - a bit of a Haida influence showing up there too. Westcoast futurism. Pretty cool. Hey Douglas Copeland - you reading this?...
.
Hey so I thought - time for our Year End Clearance Special. The acting biz, much like the REST OF THE WORLD is just coming out of an economic slump. It's tough. So I thought I'd do some advertising to help spur the economy. Move some product. You can help.
.
Just save and print out the coupon below and, I'm serious now, send to your favourite TV producer, suggesting possible roles for David Nykl. It'll be great. Kinda like assisted direct marketing. :-)
.
You guys are great.

Some shameless advertising? That's ok. And just so you know, I've already written FOX and CBS asking them to cast you. I'll work on emails to the other major networks here soon. You crack me up. I hope some of those emails pan out. We love you, you silly guy.

For some reason I think I recognize that building - did they use that for the UN Assembly in "The Bicentennial Man"?

As for advertising? Jayzus David, could you have used a picture that looked like you'd been on a four-day bender instead of just two? You know we love you but sheesh, a girl's gotta have standards.

LOL. Your posts just make my day!

Love the self-promotion coupon! Gotta send that to the Burn Notice and NCIS people!

Lovely pics of Vancouver. Suppose it's gonna be a bit hectic once the Olympics get started!

I wrote to the USA network because that's where my favorite shows are. Let me know if you don't hear from them :-)

That's a giant crab in front of the planetarium isn't it? We Marylanders can spot a crab a mile away. Is Vancouver also known for it's crustaceans?

ooh yeah, NCIS would be a great one to send that notice to. Saw your Human Target episode on HULU this AM...gave me a nice big grin.

cheers from Ohio!

Ah David you're a legend! Consider yourself advertised...course coming from me it'll only be taken notice of if you come film something in Ireland.

Hey, come film something in Ireland!! ;)

I was at Science World a while ago, it's a pretty cool building. Plus, it's right beside an observatory that was used in SG1 :D

I tried to watch your episode of Human Target and some other shows on Hulu. Unfortunately Hulu doesn't let you view shows if you're in Iraq or anywhere outside the U.S. for that matter. :p

Hopefully I'll get to see some of the Olympics. The only time I get to watch any TV is while I'm in the dining facility though and they control what's showing. Plus there are only a few channels available. :(

I hope you get an audition for a series where you're one of the main characters again soon!

Your moustache scares me.

Sending to the CBC...okay, maybe they will let you play the Friendly Giant, The Next Generation...

Looks like Vancouver needs an Olympics every 5 years to clean up the place. Just kidding. I know the hell you guys are going through right now because of it.

Well, I'll remember that you are available whenever any of my plays are cast!

I am afraid that I am still exhausted from "Saving Carson".

I'm sad I only know SPFX and prop people.

I had no idea there were so many producers in BC. The contact list is 12 pages long.

I also didn't know Fringe and Human Target were filmed here. I knew about Caprica because I recognized the MagLev station.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to send your coupon to the producers of those shows.

Arctic Goddess said...

Just out of curiosity, are you a 10% off coupon?

Great, now I have the song, "I got a two for one coupon" running through my head.

Really, "Two for One Coupon" is a song.

Happy belated birthday (omg a DAY!) and I'm seconding (thirding?) the possibility of an NCIS appearance...

Somebody should seriously hire you on as a series regular, I think you're just that good. I miss my Doctor Z!

Migraine Mama said...

I'm with Kate! I miss Dr. Z too, and I would absolutely LOVE to see you on NCIS or even Chuck, especially as a regular. Great promo for the convention in Paris by the way. Here's the address if anyone else wants to see it: http://www.stargate-fusion.com/actualites/1024/david-nykl-nouvel-invite-de-la-sci-fi-convention.html. (I'll warn you, David speaks French.) So, tell me David, how do I snag an autographed piccie of you? Travel is out of the question for me, so I know I can't make it to a convention. Please let me know. Thanks! =:3
