That was fun...

How'd you like my fic?
.
I've gotta write more Sheppard/Weir. There's unplumbed passion there. That'll be in my next book. And thanks for the photo, anonymous slovak person...
.
Back in Vancouver with several little fun projects brewing. The kettle is finally getting warm. I took a 500 photo "picture movie" of my drive up the I-5 with shots every few minutes, hoping to make a kind of Phillip Glass sense out of all that open country. Not sure it worked.

Good luck with your new projects :)

Ehm, you were not really taking pics while driving, right ..? o_O
Nice pics, thanks for sharing (oh I wish highways in Czech were that nice ...*sob*).

Hi, David.

Oh, how I wish I could have been able to attend the convention. But I live vicariously through everyone's con reports. Everyone had a great time and they were all so glad to see you. :)

Best wishes and a Happy April.

right, rub it in. No fun for the wicked, who (perfidiously) stayed at home...
Hope your projects will heat up fine, and thanks for the pictures - are those roads always so empty?

It was great to meet you in Vancouver. Thanks for your time and your consistant cheerfulness. It was a great joy and one of the highlights of our conference experience.

The sunset pic is cool.

Ahhhh HA! I am NOT the only one in the world who takes pictures while driving!! I think they really say something about the roads traveled. Though usually when I take mine I'm using those one-time-use cameras and just kind of point, click, and hope I get a good picture. ;)

Hey David,

Thanks so much for coming to the con this year. It was great to get a picture with you in Atlantis. Too bad Madison wouldn't let me push any buttons. She liked your writing very much BTW. ;-)

If you're interested you can read my con report here

I used to do the I5 route myself to visit family on school breaks. Switching over to the 101 around Salem (on 22, yah I drove this route a lot) is absolutely gorgeous going down to California. It is a great deal slower but if you have the time it is quite worth it.

Looking forward to that fic, hee hee hee.

I hope the projects go well so we can see more of you on the screen, big or small doesn't matter.

What fic???

Anonymous said...

It was more than just fun for us, it was a true pleasure--and hilarious. I was laughing so hard during the cabaret I couldn't catch my breath. Definitely more of *that* fic.

And I'll treasure my photo from the set, because Atlantis just is so *right* as long as Radek is there

What fun! Glad it was a blast- wish I could have been there!

Good luck on your road documentary.

LOL. That anonymous slovak person's been posting that nice pic of you in several locations on Gateworld!

And what da ya mean more Sheppard/Weir fics, I'm rather fond of the Zelenka/Weir ones myself!

Heard your fic reading was a huge hit at the convention! Agghhhhh and I missed it, oh well, I did have a really good reason why...

Great to hear you have a few fun projects brewing...looking forward to seeing them.

And now to go get a whiff of some of the lovely spring air we are finally getting here.

You wrote fic? *blink*

Hope your Vancouver 'Koyaanisqatsi' picture movie evolved to be as baffling and profound as anything Mr. Glass ever undertook. Though you should consider reinstating your Zelenka genius hair and spectacles so that you can channel Gustav Mahler - and finally write the end of that pesky unfinished 10th symphony.
Just my Mahler loving druthers.

Thanks for coming to the convention! It was great to see you! :)

I loved your fics! LOL! Yes, definitely try some Shep/Weir fics. haha.

David, you crazy, zany character, you! GAH! You had me rolling with the fan-fan-fiction. LMFAO.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, and I hope to attend another con when you're a guest.

Just remember...McKay who?

I heard the "fanfic" was quite a sensation - am hoping someone will have it on YouTube soon! Hope the projects work out for you. Acting must be something like war - hours of boredom punctuated by minutes of sheer terror.

Oh, and get a Twitter account! Please?

The first picture popped up and I smiled. The look on your face in that picture is hilarious. Glad the convention went so well and good luck for future projects.

Well, if the acting gig doesn't pan out, there's always Harlequin. :)

And I echo Lapis' sentiments. Twitter's where it's at!

I've ridden along with hubby in the semi, so I've seen most of every interstate in the US. I still favor the Mountain West for scenery.

I Twitter!

Oh my...!
Saw that "Já s těma hercama nemůžu dělat"-mug and... $12.99 ??? No hard feelings, but I guess, the only reason why it´s so expensive, is because of that position of wedge over the false "e"!
But I have to admit the word "hěrec" sounds very amusing, don't you think? (Who could it be?) ROFL

I deplore so much I couldn't be in Vancouver to meet you and see your funny escapades! At least I saw recordings of your visit in 2005 (do you still have that slabikář and that sweet plushy Wraith BTW?) :) ... a hleďme! First question of the audience sounded: Did you have trouble with police? And you answered: "No, only with parking fine". So! Now we can see, you made progress. But evidently you´re no natural-born criminal. If you would be, you would not take that incriminating picture of your face in the rear mirror. ;-D

Hey David!
Just wanted to say it was awesome meeting you and having my picture taking in the control room with you.

I loved the fanfic thingy you did at the Cab during the Vancouver Con, I laughed so hard I was almost crying.

Best of luck with all your adventures!

Hey David!
It was awesome to meet you at the Con, and let me tell you that your fanfic thing was HILARIOUS!!!! Definitely one of the highlight of the convention...so glad you were there!!! And you're one of the few that took a little time to talk at the photo-op!! Love you man!!

Your bit during the cabaret was hysterical--I haven't laughed that hard in ages! If that whole acting gig doesn't pan out you can always do stand up.
I was thrilled to get a pic with you on the Atlantis set. (My husband and I blew most of the budget getting to Vancouver from Philadelphia, so no photo op with David Nykl for me *sob*) Rodney who? *Snicker* Love to kow what Hewlett's reaction was to all those Twitters...
Anyway, it was great to meet you in Vancouver last weekend and I'm looking forward to your upcoming projects. Best of luck!

I have a friend visiting Vancouver this week who says that the only thing that could top the last three days I've treated her to would be getting a hug from you. Since you're in town... :)

Hello David,

Thanks for coming to the Vancouver convention. It was great to meet you and get even two pictures with you. :-)
I laughed myself to tears during Friday's Cabaret. So yes, please write more fic. ;-)

It would be great to see you again at a convention someday.

Greetings from Germany

Hi!
I thought that road looked familiar! I took like 1000 pictures (no lie) driving up and back, but unfortunately I've never been able to go to a con. Though I do get to go to Comic-con this year :D
