Lost in Narnia

Hey! Long time no blog entry. Where have I been?
.
In Narnia, so to speak. In Chemainus actually, which is like Narnia, except for without the fauns. I'm in tech week for our kid's show out here on the island, and it's going swimmingly. Great cast and great prodution team. Remember that SNL short, the Chronicles of Narnia? I keep singing that in my head. Come on out if you're in the neighbourhood. We open July 1st.
.
And then it's off to Toronto! Yahoo! Haven't been there in ages. See you at Polaris - or Toronto Trek, or whatsit called, and lo and behold, I've just checked the website and I see that that other guy is going to be there too. Why does he keep following me around?...
.
And then, then! it's off to Australia for another spin at Best of Both Worlds. I've always had lots of fun there - looking forward to that one!
.
Busy summer! I'll be back with a fresh batch of where in the world pics soon.

  1. I'm not going to lie, but that photo scared the living crap out of me. Then again, talking chipmunks always made me wary.

Glad to hear you'll be back in the southern hemisphere in July, even if it IS only Australia. The skiing is MUCH better over here in NZ, I'm just sayin'. :)

Good luck with those fauns, by the way.

  2. Hee! Hope you have fun in Australia!

  3. I'm with Ange - that's like some crazy Ancient machine from Atlantis turned you into a squirrel or something... hmmm, I think I've read that story somewhere. Or was it penguins?

Oh well, whatever. Hope your show goes well and the kids love it!

As for that Other Guy? He's harmless - unless you really have turned into a squirrle.

  4. Wah, that pic is really kinda scary!

  5. Nah, not scary at all - totally cute!

Hope you have fun, travelling all over the world.

Let us know if/when you can be seen anywhere in (or near) Europe again!

  6. Sounds fun!

Does Hewlitt know you've become a squirrel?

  7. Finally - a part you can really sink your teeth into.
    Is he a Method Rodent?
As the Tibetans say, "may success continue to touch your feet".
    Or paws.

  9. I'm SO in the wrong country. Wrong continent, actually. But have fun at Polaris, and tell that other guy his biggest Norwegian fan said hi. ;)

  10. Hey, any chance of you going to Creation's SG convention in L.A. come November? I'll be there... okay I'm going for the Farscape convention but I'll still be there.

  12. Hewlett's probably jealous he didn't get to be in your play. Have fun at the cons! Can't wait for some pictures.

  13. Were you bitten by an Iratus Squirrel? I hope Dr. Beckett can find a cure for you quickly. If not, at least you look good with fur. But I will admit I like the Dr. Z specs better.

Have fun on your travels and thanks for keeping us in the loop.

  14. Hahaha! I don't know which cracked me up more- the picture, or "D"'s comment about the Iratus Squirrel! XD

I hope you enjoy your time in Toronto. It's one of my favorite cities.

  15. I'm with Annabel -- the Iratus squirrel is right up there with the source picture for hilarity. Nice work. :)

I'm still hoping to find my way to the Island for a viewing, though from the sounds of it I shall miss opening (occassionally inconvenient, those Monday - Friday 9-5 type jobs). I wish you luck!

  17. OMG, just what are you trying to do to me! LOL.

Ever since Quarantine, I've been having this friendly bantering with a fellow GW'er about how Zelenka is or is not a lab rat (thank you Colonel Sheppard) running around in a maze (ductwork) and now you go and post of picture of yourself looking like a furry rodent! I am sooooooo not going to be able to live this one down - guess you can tell which side of the conversation I was on!

Look forward to seeing you in Toronto. This will be my first trip to the lovely city.

Hopefully there will be a photo opportunity or two with both you and the other guy that keeps following you around!

Have fun in Chemainus, looks like a fun place to be right now!

  19. Wow and I thought my job made you look odd after work. :)

So glad that you have a busy schedule and only wish I had the time to visit even one of those events. Alas I have willingly agreed to spend a fourth year sitting in a little glass box for 13 hours a night, for 5 straight weeks whilst driving 1 and a half MPH.

Good luck with the show, have fun at Polaris, and make sure to rib that other guy about the time you stole HIS squirrels at Dragon*Con ;)

  20. O yeah, I fully agree with "D" & Co... It´s definitely Iratus Squirrel! Don´t try draw a red (Narnia)herring across the track, that round-Zelanka-glasses betray you! :D

  21. Haha, that's soooo funny! I've had 'Lazy Sunday' stuck in my head for past week as well!

    It's the Croni-what?!-cles of Narnia!

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL that picture cracks me up. :) Glad to know you're having fun and staying busy. I hope you have a great time at the conventions. Wish I could be at one, but alas the Army has other ideas. Perhaps once I return from deployment in 2011!

  23. Cool, your deleted scene from 'The Shrine' is on the DVD's that just came out!

Shame they had to cut it; it was a wonderful scene.

And yep, I got found out. Maybe if I convince him that the pic is a beaver.........

  24. I'll back you up Rosehawk. Do they even have squirrels in Narnia? (No rabid Iratus ones anyway I bet.) And David, I love pics. Please post more--anything will do... you with a costar, a goat, a lobster... you know, whatever, I'm not picky.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Love the pic, when are you coming to the US again?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lol Rosehawk :) But tis a squirrel rather than a rat, surely.

Mister David, have you heard "Hip-Hop-O-Potamus" by Flight of the Conchords? it's possibly even better than Chronicles of Narnia. "Aint no party like my Nana's tea party."

Have super fun with your travels, remember to find time to like, eat and breathe and stuff like that.

  27. LOL MightyMadi,

I only wish both weren't rodents! (rolleyes and smiles)

  29. Just thought! It's possibly a beaver mask?? As in Mr Beaver?

I've been thinking about this too much, maybe.

Oh well, still isn't a lab rat, Rosehawk! : D

  30. Am very very sad I can't be in Toronto this weekend! I'll just have to wait until the photos and vids show up and then live vicariously through those... But I'm sure you'll have fun, and have a great time in Australia too!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL. Thanks MightyMadi. I might just need to quote you!

Hey to David fans....David was really fantastic and wonderful at the Toronto convention this past weekend!

Hoefully David will post his piccies soon!

Sorry David, couldn't resist....apparently I have a bit too much time on my hands waiting to head home from the convention!
