I'll Be Amsterdammed

Why take a camera with you on vacation when you can use other peoples' snaps off the internet...
.
Holland! I'm not there yet, but will be this weekend at the SciFi Fest to end all scifi fests (at least as far as cities closest to being underwater goes) Utopia Convention. What am I going to talk about with Q! Ask him about that whole time lord thing I guess.
.
So far nothing is certain about any US cons, I'm sad to report. I was almost going to be going to Untied Con in Massachusetts again, but that didn't turn out, so I hope to soon have news for all you wonderful US based folks whom I've yet to visit. It will happen. One day.
.
Ding ding! casting news! I've been cast in a feature called Helen, as John, the, um, husband of um,... the script is set to arrive any day now. Ashley Judd's starring in it, and now, so is David Nykl, so it's time to get in line at the cineplex. I hear there's Oscar buzz for David Nykl in this one already...

  1. Fantastic to hear about the movie--David Hewlett reports having a part, too. Both of you in it? I'm there.... Have fun in Europe...we'll be waiting here in the US (im)patiently.... ;-D

  2. Yay! New casting! So...you and David Hewlett are in this film? I know he was filming last week with Goran, so this would be a double treat.

  3. Congrats on your upcoming roll...have you started practicing your acceptance speech yet? Be sure to let David down gently. Have fun in Amsterdam.

  4. Wow! Congrats on the film! Getting to act with Ashley and Goran...so cool. And with David Hewlett... lol..I bet you just miss him so much and can't wait to act with him again! hehehe

I will SO be watching this film when it comes out! It has my two favorite Davids, plus Goran and Ashley!(I love her...she just seems so sweet..good PR, eh?lol)

So 3 hot guys and a babe...sounds like a funny title for a show.

And I am envious of your travels! You have been going all over Europe....I wanna go too! I just have to talk my hubby into it..oh yeah...and save lots of money. ;~P

I hope you have a blast on your trip and a lot of fun making the movie!
    Take care,
    Kimberly

  6. The invitation still stands from Dragon*Con. I hope you'll consider attending that.

Congrats on snagging the part in Helen! For the film's sake, I hope you and David Hewlett don't work on the same days. That could drive them crazy seeing you two riff off each other! :)

    Bon voyage!

  8. Enjoy your trip to Amsterdam! I was there last Spring for work and had the opportunity to do a little site-seeing as well.

Feel free to wander through my snapshots from Amsterdam as well.

  10. You've been here before, so I assume you know that Utopia isn't actually in Amsterdam, but The Hague, or Scheveningen to be more precise (at the beach). ;-) The Dutchies are all looking forward to seeing you again!

  25. As Paula said: "Congrats on snagging the part in Helen! For the film's sake, I hope you and David Hewlett don't work on the same days. That could drive them crazy seeing you two riff off each other! :)"

*lol* The exact same thoughts are running through my head! I hope you get to go to a non-Creation con in the US and somewhere that I preferably can drive to... :)

Okay, housework awaits and I need to get that done so I can go watch SGA live tonight at my parents' place w/ the huge LCD tv in the living room. :-p

Have fun in Europe and I hope you have a safe trip. :)

  29. The Utopia convention was great! David behaved really well ;)
He did actually know the convention was in Scheveningen but he was planning to go sightseeing in Amsterdam...

  30. David, it was nice to see you again this year. Thankfully you knew that Scheveningen and Amsterdam weren't the same. Can't wait for Crossroads (Germany). Hope you had fun in this little country. I'm sorry if I made you feel uneasy in any way. I promise, I will make it up. See you in 3 weeks.
